I first made contact with Vanessa before pregnancy. I knew immediately that I wanted her as my doula and support person. She was so kind and beautiful from day 1, even before I was pregnant. I said to her “I can’t wait to be pregnant so I can have you as my doula”

Every single day I would pray for my turn and the chance to hold a beautiful baby in my arms.

Less than 2 weeks later my dream turned to reality when my final IVF embryo transfer worked and I contacted Vanessa straight away to begin the process.

To say that Vanessa was amazing would be an understatement. She was the person I went to when I was anxious, the person who listened to me cry and helped me so much when I thought I had lost my pregnancy due to a bleed at week 14 and the person who was my constant reassurance and my biggest supporter.

We had so many zoom sessions and they were informative and put my mind at ease. I went from being scared of the process to feeling empowered and ready. Vanessa also attended many of our appointments to make sure she was well informed of what was going on with the pregnancy.

As a solo mum by choice, it was imperative that I chose the right support person and had someone that I could fully trust at my most vulnerable. Vanessa was, is and continues to be that person for me. It’s a really hard thing to let your guard down, and pregnancy is such a special, yet overwhelming time for both women and couples, especially after the baby comes.

I welcomed my baby boy Teddy via C section on December 7th and it wasn’t the birth I was expecting (bub was breech), but it was the most amazing experience. Vanessa was there from start to finish, held my hand, wiped the tears, constantly encouraged me and cut Teddy’s cord. It was honestly something I will never forget. On top of that she also spent the first night with us in hospital to support both Teddy and I, which was just incredible.

If you’re wanting a doula who is loving, supportive and extremely knowledgeable then this is Vanessa. She is a really special person and loves her clients so much. We will never forget what she has done for us, as well as always being on the other end of the phone daily. Do yourself a favour and make the investment because you won’t regret it for a second.

Thank you Vanessa from the bottom of our hearts. My dream came true with my beautiful Teddy, but it exceeded my dreams to have you beside me the whole way through my journey.

You’ll always have a very special place in our hearts and Teddy will always know who you are. Anyone who gets you on this journey is beyond lucky. Thank you for helping me become the best mum that I can be and for always being in our corner.
